DE ETCHED (2006-2007)
De-etching is the act of transferring an etching print onto paper. The images obtained are a result of endless layers of such transfers followed by endless coats of tearing and sanding away. It is as if the prints were skinned off - the paper is sanded away with water and only the oily etching ink remains. The final image is then carved out and mounted onto a new, clean printing paper.
