PAIDEY (2011)
This series of work was produced for an exhibition in a small village in Mallorca, Spain. I took many pictures of the village and, ultimately, chose 5 that represented the intensity and beauty of the village.
I transferred the images onto zinc plates using photopolymer film. I printed the 5 plates in different colors and tones, having by the end 175 prints.
I selected several tones and colors and I cut the prints in stripes to recompose them, playing/dealing with the ability to make the images both representational and abstract through repetition.
